Barry M. Meyers is certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation*. The National Elder Law Foundation is the only organization approved by the American Bar Association to offer certification in the area of elder law. Mr. Meyers has practiced law since 1983 and elder law since 1992. In 2006, he expanded his practice to include Life Care Planning which provides families with the services of in–house Geriatric Care Managers. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Southern California, a Masters degree from the University of California, Davis, and his law degree from Whittier College School of Law. Mr. Meyers is the Past-President of the Washington Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). He received the Washington Chapter of NAELA Outstanding Member Award in 2002. He is a Trustee of the Elder Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association and serves as Legislative Co-Chair. Mr. Meyers is a Board member of nonprofit groups such as Visiting Nurse Home Care and Elder Service Providers. Mr. Meyers was named a Washington SuperLawyer (top 5% of Washington lawyers) by Washington Law and Politics Magazine in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Applications and Systems Analysis from California State University Fresno. He received his law degree from the San Joaquin College of Law in Fresno, California, graduating in the top ten of his class. Steve has practiced law since 1994, and has been practicing with Barry M. Meyers since 2007. He is licensed to practice law in Washington and California.

His practice includes estate planning, trusts (emphasizing special needs trusts for disabled individuals), planning for incapacity/disability, guardianships, probate, trust administration, the protection of vulnerable adults from financial and physical abuse, life care planning (with the assistance of in-house Geriatric Care Managers, a social worker and a registered nurse), and long-term care planning (Medicaid and Medicare).

He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Northwest Estate Planning Council, and the California State Bar Association. Steve is the founder of the Bellingham Bay Marathon, and served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Race Director of its inaugural race in 2007.
